Petanque players and french cafés...

Liz paints scenes from everyday life experiences which have been influenced by living in the south of France. Although she is now based in West Berkshire she regularly takes trips abroad to collect new material for her paintings.

She paints with an impressionistic style, mainly in acrylic, using watercolour and sepia crayon for her sketches. Her work is influenced by the play of light and movement in a scene. Many of the paintings depict groups of people and her joy of painting is evident in them.
