Liz works in a variety of mediums. Typically she works from both life and photographs to produce rough sketches in watercolour and sepia crayon or pencil. The sketches are worked quickly, only allowing time to capture an impression of the scene, the colours and the movement. Light is all important in the scenes, especially with strongly cast shadows. Larger paintings in acrylic are developed from these in her studio.
The first tab shows watercolour paintings of Hong Kong street scenes. The second tab shows paintings of Bucklebury Common. The last two tabs show paintings of typical French scenes. The two boat paintings will be exhibited at the West Berkshire Community Hospital in May and June.
